Because a ship owner has little or no opportunity to observe the actual condition of the underwater structure of his vessel between dry-dockings, he is at a distinct disadvantage in confronting the numerous types of biological, electro-chemical and structural damage that may occur.

A diver experienced in all facets of marine maintenance and repair can offer vital service, since he is in a position to view every inch of the vessel underwater. Well aware of the many problems that can plague a vessel, and the signs that indicate damage, a diver can offer detailed documentation of the underwater structures of a ship.

A1 Commercial Diving Services offers inspections for basic condition and damage assessment, as well as complete USCG, ABS and DNV "UWILD" (Underwater Inspection In Lieu of Drydocking) surveys. We provide comprehensive digital reports with photos and/or video as required. Our dive teams are fully insured, qualified and experienced in ship inspection & repair.
